Well, there is a few thing in the background running (such as dhclient,
nfsd, sshd, ...). I disabled them all but the behaviour does not change. 

I try to run switchtest --no-fpu and I observe the same behaviour (i.e.
it hangs after a number of context switch), so I don't think it is FP
